After more than 40 years of leadership in the energy sector, Gary Fiselier has joined the BLCK Optimization Inc. management team after recently retiring from Pembina Pipeline Corporation, where he left an indelible mark. His last decade focused on building a highly efficient measurement team, yielding significant cost savings and operational improvements, such as capturing $1.3 million in annual savings by optimizing and implementing digital software solutions for  meter proving processes, along with many other improvements all the while supporting the build and management of a team of specialists.

Gary’s career is highlighted by pioneering solutions that reduced operational risks, including implementing advanced measurement software and tools, which not only improved efficiency but also saved critical resources. His expertise in managing EPAP and other technical audit programs alongside driving data optimization strategies, has set a benchmark for the industry.

In addition to his tenure at Pembina, Gary held significant roles at Cenovus and its predecessors, where he spearheaded projects that revolutionized production and measurement audits. A Charter Professional Accountant (CPA), he has been a prominent figure in the Canadian Institute of Hydrocarbon Measurement (CIHM) as the current chair, furthering industry standards through education and technical papers.

As Gary  continues to grow, his legacy of innovation, leadership, and cost-saving solutions will continue to influence the next generation of hydrocarbon measurement professionals, while helping to grow BLCK Optimization as the Managing Director of Measurement and Data Integration and Optimization.
